We’ve been letting the chickens out the last couple of days and noticed the egg production seemed to go down a bit, It didn’t… they were laying under the shed!
So we did a float test on all SEVEN of the eggs that were found:
The float test is to make sure that all of the eggs are still good. In water the good ones will sink, bad ones float. They were all fine!
I love brothers! Mine like to mess with projects that I’m working on, which can be annoying sometimes but they do give me good ideas once in a while.
I was decorating cookies the other day and had some food coloring laying around to color my icing with. I had a few cookies already decorated and set aside. Pretty soon someone was asking me if it was alright to “paint” one of the decorated cookies with some of the food coloring. I said it was OK and turned back to the cookie that I was decorating not thinking much about it. When I looked back at the cookie that was being painted I saw how nice the color was staying! I wanted to try it too!
So I did!
It is so hard to get colors like this in icing, who knew that I would learn about a decorating technique like this from a brother messing around! 😉
I will definitely be using this method of coloring in the future!
I love pin curls! They were a little difficult for me to master, and I will admit I got a little frustrated the first few times I tried them, but I am starting to get the hang of it and am really enjoying experimenting! More posts on pin-curls to come in the future, and maybe even a tutorial!
I made this really easy to make bangle with some magazine beads that I had on hand. The only other things I needed were cheap elastic string and some little spacer beads. Tutorial on how to make this coming soon!
I finally got around to making my own tutorial on how to make these! These beads are a great way to recycle old magazines and look surprisingly nice!
